OBJECTIVES:

This blog site has the following objectives:

General Objective:

Upholding Children’s Rights through the Aid of Information Technology

Specific Objectives:

* public awareness on laws, jurisprudence and current issues related to children;

* assist authorities in deterring, if not, minimizing child abuses through the aid of Information Technology; and

* give legal advices and other legal aids to children and to concern individuals who aim to save a child.

RATIONALE:

Like a coin, Information Technology (IT) has two faces. If a coin has head and tail, Information Technology has harm and benefit. As far as the group's observation is concerned, Information Technology brings harm only if being used for ill purposes, but it brings benefits if being used for healthy purposes. The group believes that how morally motivated the IT user are matters a lot as to what effects IT would have.

The group comes up with an idea of using Information Technology, itself, to counter the negative impacts it brings. Because of being disheartened by cyber cases harming children, like child pornography, the group created this project as a way of showing that children should be cared.
